About

A Word From the Founder

Hi, my name is Wade Weisz, OD, and I’d like to start off by saying welcome and thank you for checking out our website.

As you might have guessed from the title, I come from a background of over 25 years of experience as a private practice OD myself. During this time managing my multiple-location practices, I found myself transitioning more towards back-office duties, like bookkeeping. I realized that I was not only good at them, but I also enjoyed it very much.

Then the pandemic happened, and I decided it was time for a career change. Bookkeeping was the perfect fit for me. And now that working remotely has proven itself both as an efficient and effective way to do business, I decided that this would be the perfect time to put my interests, background, and skills to best use by offering the much-needed service of professional bookkeeping for professional optometrists.

My background is a uniquely perfect crossover for helping optometrists with getting, and keeping, their practice financials in tip-top shape. I’ve learned how valuable accurate financials are in running a practice and helping make the important financial decisions that are best. I also know how difficult and time-consuming it is to track and organize all of that financial data.

Optometrist | For Eye Bookkeeping

This is the exact reason why I made the decision to start a bookkeeping business. For Eyes Bookkeeping focuses solely on helping and serving the optometric community. Yep, that’s right — we only take on clients who are in the world of optometry.

Addressing the OD Pain Points

Most optometrists know how much their annual gross revenues are, but many don’t know other important financial metrics like net income, current and long-term liability obligations, inventory and fixed asset valuations, or how to report important deductions like depreciation. These duties are not only important for performing the day-to-day functions of your practice and tax reporting, but are essential in determining the overall value of your practice.

And payroll? Well, payroll is often the most dreaded of all — am I right? From getting your employees paid on time to filing documents with the correct government agencies, we’ve got you covered. We’ll take care of all of that for you.

But understanding all of this begins with making sure your numbers are complete, accurate, properly categorized, and available when you need them. As the old saying goes, “garbage in, garbage out”. Don’t be “one of those practices”.

Outsource your bookkeeping to a trustworthy company like For Eyes Bookkeeping, and we’ll prepare financial data that will allow you to make the best strategic decisions for your financial future.

As your professional bookkeeper, I will make sure your financial statements make your accountant, certified financial planner, banker, and the IRS, very happy. And once that happens, they’ll be better equipped to do their jobs for you. You’ll rest easy at night with the confidence that you’re on the right path towards economic comfort and freedom.
